My life is like the ocean: it ebbs as it must flow
As I’ve lived in true devotion for love some never know
Wrecking ships like lovers, its rocks always disguised
Its heart never showing: lost to god’s own eyes.

My life is like an ocean: crazy, sometimes sane
Swilled with such emotion its rage mad as the rain
Wandering where it pleases, the moon its only friend
Only knowing of its beginning, never knowing how it ends.
